Walking the west bank, Fly Flatts.

                                    Several Ringed Plover still present.

LBB on the far north shore.

A better morning weather wise as although the temperature was up at 20 degrees before 0800 hrs there was plenty shade in the part cloudy sky and a good moderate S>3 blowing.
With sailing on today I just did a check of the compound area then set off to walk the west bank in the nice cooling south wind.
Other than the original adult male Ringed Plover on the south shore, most of the other waders were all at distance way over on the muddy stretch of the north bank. Scoping was very difficult with a ton of heat shimmer but possible to identify the usual Dunlins, Common Sands, Redshanks and up to 6 Ringed Plover, as well as Curlew, Lapwing and Oystercatchers.
A single Golden Plover flew from the top field which has been a rare species this time for the second year running.
A single Herring gull headed >SW along with 8 LBB gulls which had been on the water earlier.
A cooler forecast for tomorrow along with a moderate westerly.
