Several LBB gull through Col
A decent morning at Fly Flatts with full grey cloud on a light SW>1 increasing >3 at 15 degrees.
Nothing unusual this morning with the usual waders, with 5 Dunlin and 6 Ringed Plover present including the 2 juvs, plus Common Sandpipers, Oystercatchers, Curlew, Lapwing, Snipe and Redshank, all with chicks.
Plenty Swallows and Swifts over the water along with 4 LBB gulls whilst a drake Tufted duck was on the water and Reed Buntings were in the compound.
A rare sight this morning with a Short Eared Owl over the distant moor, a bit of a rarity over the last couple of years.
A mid afternoon check on the Causeway Foot Col, to see if there was any gull movement as yet which just provided a steady flow of LBBs all >SW. At least 4 Whitethroat were present, viewed from the track.
