Back with the Dunlins, Fly Flatts.

5 Dunlins arrived from the >SE
Getting near to gull season, LBB
                                    Showing signs of moult.

                                The pale Greylag gosling

Much the same weather conditions as the last few days at Fly Flatts but more sun this morning with 20% cloud and good visibility on a cold E>3 at 9 degrees.
A quiet start but plenty Swifts and Swallows over the water along with a steady flow of Herring gulls >SE, which I later came across around the Nolstar fields, whilst 4 LBBs were on the north shore. Hopefully next month will show several gulls on the north end including the annual Yellow Legged Herrings. A single Black Headed gull flew over the water but continued >NE.
Waders were again quiet with just Common Sandpiper , Redshank and Snipe, until mid watch, when 5 Dunlin dropped in from the SE settling down to preen and feed along the ,now muddy, shore.
Several Curlews have now left the area as well as Redshank, leaving just the ones that are waiting for young to fledge. Hopefully I will to see the one or more Ringed Plover which should fledge over the weekend.
