Out with the waders, Fly Flatts.

                                  At least 11 Dunlin present

Blackbird just fledged in the boat compound.
At least 9 Common Sandpipers present

Another morning of near perfect conditions at Fly Flatts though bitter cold in the E>3 wind at 7 degrees and full cloud cover.
Dunlins were the bird of the day with at least 11 arrived overnight as well as more Common Sandpipers. If the Dunlin keep dropping in its only a matter of time before they bring a Sanderling in with them.Oystercatcher and Redshank numbers stayed the same whilst Ringed Plovers were back to the original family.
A few LBB gulls >NE with more Swifts and Swallows over the water and a Swallow building a nest on the clubhouse. The Blackbird pair have 1 chick just fledged after breeding here for around 5 years. Another surprise was a Greenfinch by the recycling centre as I passed on the way home, a rare species these days around my area.
