The June lull kicks in. Fly Flatts.

A good brief start to the mornings weather at Fly Flatts with full cloud and drizzle on a moderate SW>3 at 16 degrees but it was,nt long before the sun appeared and the temperature rose as the wind dropped. By 0930 hrs it was up stumps and away.
The usual 5 wader species were present along with 3 Curlew and still several Lapwing. Plenty wader chicks about at present to all species with the only real predators this year being the 2 resident crows and a few LBB gulls plus a weasel or two.
Meadow Pipit dispersion is underway with an overnight fall bringing a big count to the area along with several Reed Buntings whilst the SEO was again quartering the distant moor. Only a couple of LBB gulls over this morning.
Tomorrows weather sounds as bad but chance of some rain in the afternoon.
