Rain at last, Fly Flatts,(permit only)

The light problem today, everything in monochrome. Redshank
                                     Silhouetted Dunlin.
                                                Juv Redshank

                                        Common Sand guarding young
1 of 2 male Ringed Plover.

                                                Sleepy Dunlin
                                            Ringed Plover pair
                                                   Dunlin over the water

Some half decent weather at last at Fly Flatts mid afternoon with some very heavy rain showers on a fresh SW>3 at 15 degrees. On arrival the dark clouds and silver water threw everything into silhouette but brightened as the clouds moved over leaving a light haze over the far bank.
Things to do this morning so a mid afternoon visit which is always much quieter than the morning with birds resting on the shore and very little movement in the sky.
A small group of 6 Dunlin flew fast over the water disappearing towards the north bank but unable to say whether these were more new arrivals as the haze made scoping the far shore impossible.
At least 8 Dunlin were on the south shore as well as the usual species with still an extra male Ringed Plover present whilst juv Redshank and Common Sandpiper were dodging around the shore.
Still 2 Curlew present in the top field waiting for young to fledge whilst a single Raven headed >N.
A mainly dry day forecast for tomorrow with a decent moderate S>4 and at least I dont have to water my garden tonight.
