A livelier morning, Fly Flatts/ a steady visit to Ogden.

FLY FLATTS                                               1 of 4 Oystercatcher
                                            Redshank and Ringed Plover

                                                1 of 6 Dunlin

                                        Canada goslings doing well

This threw me. Took the reflection instead of the bird.
Super calm reflective water, Common Sandpiper.

No shortage of goslings this year.

A good year for Curlews with chicks
OGDEN                            just 1 Herring (argenteus) among the LBBs.

A pleasant morning to be up on the tops with blue skies and sunshine at 11 degrees on a very light NE>3.
Surprisingly, in the conditions, the birding was much more active than yesterday with more waders in , though no new species, and several new chicks around. All the geese were out on the water with well grown goslings, now looking like a record year to the dismay of the sailors with the amount of mess they make in the compound and keeping me busy clearing the jetty.
The water is extremely low with some small islands appearing offshore which is another worry for the sailors but ideal for waders.
Two BH gull over were a bonus for this time of year , although shopping at Keighley midday there were several in the car park. Two drake Tufted were on the water.
It worked the other way round today with Fly Flatts busy and Ogden, mid afternoon, quiet with just a single Herring gull in with a group of LBBs plus the usual Black Headed.
The water held 7 Canadas along with 2m and 1f Tufted plus the usual 2 Gt Crested Grebe.
