Slogging away at Ogden

Few small gulls on the water
                                    Single LBB

                                    Trickle of Greylags >NE

Another dark, damp morning at Ogden with a cool WNW>3 at 3 degrees with full dark cloud.
An extremely quiet morning with not a bird in sight in the west and east bank Alders and the only small passerines showing were the usual Robins, Wrens, Blackbirds and Dunnocks.
The long staying female Goosander was still on the water along with a few small gulls and a single LBB, whilst overhead a good count of pre roost big gulls were heading >NE from a SW direction as well as a steady flow of Greylags very high and >NE with a total of 22 geese.
As we drove up Free School Lane , Halifax this afternoon 2 Waxwings flew across the road into the grounds of the old Halifax Royal Infirmary.
Another grey day tomorrow with a strengthening SW turning W wind.
