Frozen off.

With the temperature down at minus 6 early morn I thought it wise not to risk the dogs with frozen paws so settled for a roadside walk around with them and called off the birding . Milder by late morning but a full schedule of  running about and jobs to do so see what another day brings.
Thanks to NK for the shout of  Pinkies but passed too far to the west of me. Sounds like they would have gone over Cold Edge, Fly Flatts area. Luckily I made up for this as I walked the dogs over Foxhill at around 1530 hrs when a skein of around 40 Pinkies went over high and >W .
Overnight snow promised but tomorrows day of snow has now been knocked off.
