An icy Ogden.

                                    1 of 7 Bullfinch

Very few Black Headed gulls on the water
                                    4 Redpoll in the Alders

                                    Flock of 8 LT Tits.
                                    Single Grey Wagtail

I set off with the intentions of checking Fly Flatts this morning only to find Cold Edge Road is closed due to ice so a diversion back to Ogden where the skies were clear and blue with full sun on a light
NE>2 at a chilly minus 2 degrees. The fringes of the reservoir were frozen but nice dry walking around the perimeter track.
The west bank was much more active in the sun, once I had located the Tit flock, with Bullfinch, Redpoll, Siskin, Long Tailed Tit, Goldcrest and the usual 3 Tit species.
A poor show of gulls with just 14 Commons plus a low count of Black Headed and no big gulls but must be due some wildfowl anytime now. No Kingfisher or Dipper this morning but a single Grey Wagtail was working the banking below the promenade. The skies remained empty.
