Dunlin invasion, Fly Flatts, (permit only).

                                          Dunlins everywhere
A count of at least 11
                                            Common Sandpipers having a squabble

                                                     1 of 3 Pied Wagtail

                                        At least 8 Common Sandpiper
                                       Just a single male Wheatear

2 pair of Ringed Plover.   Male
                                                      Female

A bright and breezy afternoon at Fly Flatts with a moderate W>4 at 10 degrees with broken cloud and sunshine. Just one heavy rain shower which soon passed over.
A good fall of Dunlin with at least 11 present and possibly more at the north end on the mud with at least 8 Common Sandpipers, 4 Ringed Plover and 3 Redshank. Another couple of weeks and hopefully Sanderling will arrive.
Just a single male Wheatear today with Swallows now a common sight and more Linnets showing.
