Yet another morning fogged off, Fly Flatts, permit only.

Good move of Lesser Black Backed gulls p.m.

Air ambulance buzzing around over the moor

  • Misty and grey first thing this morning on a SW>4 at 10 degrees ,then 15 minutes into the watch it was once again lights out as the fog rolled in over the moor, another aborted watch.
  • Late afternoon was very dark and hazy with a low cloud base and heavy drizzle. By the end of the watch the fog had once again rolled in. Not looking good for morning.
  •                                                   Just managed to scrape enough together to make a report with LBB gulls keeping the ball rolling this afternoon whilst a single Cormorant flew over >SE. Only 2 Wheatear found and a single Stonechat whilst the Goldfinch flock down to around 30 birds.
  •                         Rain forecast tomorrow so hopefully it will wash away the fog?
