Swarms of Flying Ants
- A calmer day today with a S>3 at 15 degrees with plenty blue sky and sunshine.
- Mipits trickled through continuous though no big groups as yet whilst hirundines came over high up in the blue sky. Teal came through in 3 small groups very high and fast and 5 raptor species were present. Wheatear numbers were up with 6 Northern and 3 outstanding Greenland 'leucorhoa' species along the west bank.
- The Wheatears and Mipits were very active enjoying a harvest of Flying Ants with massive swarms present as well as tons of butterflies.
- A real full morning of vis mig whilst this afternoon was reasonably quiet but plenty raptors present.
