Always Kestrels present.
The east shore peninsular disappearing.
Very little shoreline, NE shore.
Big black rain cloud over the west bank with BS stamped on it.
- A moderate WSW>5 increasing >6 with heavy rain and drizzle showers throughout the day with a morning temperature of 9 degrees. Lots of cloud to the west.
- Once again the strong wind played havoc with the migration with very little movement and very low counts. 5 Teal was about the best of the bunch, very high and >NW during a heavy shower. Only one Wheatear found today after a morning and then an afternoon walk along the west bank, the morning walk getting nothing for me other than a reet good soaking. Just 2 LBB gulls on the north shore though plenty Black Headed in the Skylark field on Cold Edge Road. Good to see that a few birders have now obtained permits to enter Fly Flatts.
