Stonechats galore , Fly Flatts, (permit only)

 

                                         18 Stonechat at the SE corner.



  •           With my head in the viewfinder concentrating on the Stonechat on the wall I never even noticed what was going on behind until I looked at the photo. I,m not even going to guess what that was.

  •             Tied up this morning but luckily DJS stepped into the breach doing a vis mig watch from the top road at the NE end of the water. His report is on Trektellen. Thanks for that Dave.
  •            Late afternoon with a clear sky and a S>4 but very little in bird life both on the water and in the sky. Stonechats saved the afternoon with a count of 18 in the SE corner and on the track side fencing all slowly ground hopping >S. The birds were very flighty and kept their distance and as I left they were gone.
