Another icy morn at Leeshaw

                                    Just 3 Teal present

                                        2m 1f

Around 100 small gulls mostly Commons
                                    Swarms of Greylags  Around 300

                                    Going down in fields.

Another dry bright icy morning with 30% cloud, blue sky and sunshine at minus 2 degrees on a SW>3.
Much quieter than yesterday probably due to the strengthening icy cold SW>3 with just 3 Teal on the water as well as Mallards and around 100 small gulls, mainly Commons.
Redwings were moving through the hedges after Hawthorn berries whilst up to 4 Wrens were scratting about in the dry stone walls. A single Pied Wagtail was down near the brook but no Dippers showing recently.
Geese were the star of the show again with over 300 Greylag noisily flying in and dropping down in one of the top fields whilst only 5 Canada were showing.
Not a good forecast for the next few days with milder temperatures, stronger winds plus rain and snow, luckily they are not usually right, and at least its only 5 days to winter solstice when the clocks move forward.
