Wheatears on the move. Fly Flatts, (permit only)

                                                        Good move of Wheatear

3 Buzzard in the air together.
                                                  Way over the west bank.

Another warm sunny morning but slightly fresher due to a SE>3 at 14 degrees and only 20% cloud.
By late afternoon there was full cloud cover and rain showers.
A good start to the morning with a wave of adult Wheatear ground hopping through >S below the west bank, by late afternoon they were gone. A few Swift headed >S whilst a single Sand Martin came through low and fast >SW.
The only gulls today were LBBs all into the wind >SE plus a couple of Black Headed on the water. A good chance of Kittiwake today but it never happened which I was,nt too bothered about as its said that 90% of inland Kittiwakes die as they find it difficult to feed on reservoirs.
This has been proved first hand by me with one found dead at Fly Flatts, one sickly bird on Shibden Park lake and one sickly bird at Oxon over the last couple of days as well as several other distressing reports.
The only other thing of interest was 3 Buzzard up together over the western ridge and 2 separate Buzzard very high and >SW.
The afternoon session was very quiet with part of my time spent herding sheep back into the field where someone had kindly left the gate open.
Hopefully back to a Canon 7d mk2 tomorrow which I thought I,d better invest in before I wore out the delete button on my Canon 7d mk1.
