LBB gulls and Raptors, Fly Flatts, (permit only)

                                               Buzzard over the moor

                                     Sky battle, Merlin,Peregrine and Kestrel.

A very wet and windy day throughout with drizzle and rain on a S>3 turning WSW>4 with a low cloud base and mist patches at 14 degrees.
Nothing around the shoreline or on the water but a small group of adult Wheatear were along the south bank ground hopping their way through early morn . Lesser Black Backed gulls moved >SE in a steady flow both morning and afternoon but nothing else of note.
The afternoon session was very poor with nothing until the last 10 minutes when a distant Buzzard appeared over the west ridge and whilst I was watching that 3 raptors flew above it tangling, very high up, with a Kestrel, Peregrine and Merlin.
The shore is almost gone now with water getting near the overflow, looking like the rain forecast over the weekend will just finish it off  at a crucial time.
