NOTE !!
No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

One extreme tu t'uther! Fly Flatts.

                                Another super fast sunrise
                                    Sun up, back o t'mill
                        A dark Fly Flatts
                                    Low cloud base

A dark damp morning at Fly Flatts with a low cloud base and drizzle on a cold SW>3 at 3 degrees.
Amazing how the last 3 days at Leeshaw was alive with birds yet Fly Flatts this morning was absolutely dead with just 4 Woodpigs, 1 Mipit, 1 Wren and 3 Red Grouse with nothing on the water or in the sky. Fly Flatts is a good spot March till September and then goes into shut down apart from occasional odd sightings. This autumn has been exceptionally poor this year with the water being high and no shore though the best time for waders is spring with very few dropping off in autumn, even if the water is low. Another factor of a poor autumn this year up there has been the amount of foggy mornings.
