Match Abandoned.

                                    Foxhill Common gulls

                                        Mobile trampoline

With a strong wind, heavy rain, combined with fog early morn it was match abandoned.
The wind increased as the day went on with rain throughout but nothing like the forecast 'end of the world' storm. In fact it was nobbut a stiff breeze, reading on the Queensbury scale, and as the women up here say " a good drying day fo t'weshing". They used to say that Queensbury fellows that worked in Bradford got off the bus at the Alhambra and fell over, being used to leaning into the wind.
A pair of Wigeon were on the Raggalds Flood as we passed mid afternoon on the way back from Keighley, along with the usual gulls and Lapwings.
A wet and windy dog walk late afternoon up Foxhill did,nt seem to bother the gulls with 23 Commons on the top pitch.
A wet but calmer day tomorrow, with reservoirs full of wildfowl, says he, hopefully.
