Leeshaw Reservoir

No wonder its always foggy in Queensbury !
                                    Herring gull
                                Starlings heading >NW
                                Greylags coming in.
                                Reservoir overflow
                                    Sev big gulls present

Too fast for the Kingfisher and Dipper today.

With the wind gone the fog returned to the tops but Leeshaw was clear though very dak and wet with very heavy showers on a WSW>3 at 5 degrees.
A good morning for gulls with 18 Herring, 8 LBB and around 120 small gulls but no specials among them. Several squadrons of Starling were once again heading >NW in migration mode, possibly heading for the massive winter roost on Blackpool pier.
A steady, uneventful morning otherwise, in the poor conditions, with just the usual geese, Mallard and 2 Cormorants on the water whilst a single Heron and 3 Lapwing were on the banking.
Large groups of Fieldfare were working the distant fields along with a few Redwing, otherwise just the usual species present.
Wet and windy tomorrow with a moderate westerly.
