Leeshaw Reservoir

Pheasant with 1 of 6 juvs.
                                    Usual BH gulls

                                    Cormorants on the move
                                     distant Common Sandpiper.

                                    Plenty blogging Meadow Pipits.

A clear morning at last with full cloud on a SW>3 turning W>4 with light rain by 0945 hrs at 13 degrees.
Plenty activity but nothing much in the way of vis mig with just a few Swallows and Mipits >S though a build up of around 80 Mipits blogging. Geese are slowly returning to their wintering fields with Canada and Greylag numbers slowly starting to build whilst Cormorants are stopping off at the water on their way west.
A Common Sandpiper showed briefly, way over on the north bank, probably the same bird that I had a few days ago, whilst once again gulls were poor with just 2 LBBs and the usual Black Headed.
Looks like the next couple of days are going to be a rough ride with gale force winds and heavy rain forecast.
