Fly Flatts, above the fog.

                                Several Wheatears

                                Including 2 Greenlands
                                    7 Primary tips

                                Peninsular coming on well.
                                    Juv Peregrine after Mipits.

A good start to the morning weatherwise with full cloud cover on a cool SE>3 at 18 degrees but feeling cooler in the refreshing breeze. Luckily for me, the fog was hanging low down in the valleys leaving reasonable visibility though hazy with the sun trying to break through the cloud.
By 0930 hrs the job was spoilt when the breeze dropped, the sun broke through and the temperature began to rise.
Meadow Pipits were everywhere with several moving >S and large feeding parties in the sky which had probably come across a swarm of flying ants or midges. This in turn brought in a juv Peregrine which perched on a fence for a while before moving off without causing any damage.
A single Reed Bunting went over >S whilst 10 Wheatear were present, 2 of which showed the characteristics of Greenlands being larger, bulkier, more colourful birds and showing 7 primary tips.
Withens Head on the way back held 4 Wheatear along with several Mipits and Linnets.
Hopefully just 3 hot days to get through then hopefully back to proper weather.
