Dropped onto water 0950 hrs
Dense fog for the 4th day running on the tops but luckily Leeshaw was below the cloud base.
Very dark and cloudy with light rain showers on an E>2 at 13 degrees.
Several birds on the move but nothing on the water first thing other than Canadas, Mallards and Cormorants. Again, only 2 LBB gulls but plenty Black Headed, all checked for Meds.
A Dipper was down in the beck along with 2 Grey Wagtails whilst a Merlin shot through the moving Swallows but no damage done.
All was quieting off by 0930 hrs when 7 Teal came speeding in from the east doing 2 circuits of the water and landing briefly before lifting straight off again and away very high >W.
Tackling up at 1000 hrs when a surprise of 2 drake Common Scoter dropping onto the water, again from the east, and settling down towards the west end of the reservoir.
