Another morning of low cloud and drizzle at Fly Flatts this morning on a S>4 dropping to S>2.
Light drizzle throughout then rain by 1000 hrs.
A quiet morning with nothing in the skies below the cloud base other than a few gulls and Ravens. The water held 11 Canadas and 6 BH gulls whilst a single Wheatear was still present along with the unusual sighting there of a male Blackbird which was jet black with a dark bill making it a continental or a first year male, though these are usually more black/brown.
Late afternoon at Leeshaw was reasonable conditions for the first 30 minutes and then heavy rain moved in.
Things here were also quiet but always plenty to see and several small gulls to sort through both on the water and heading SW though only 2 LBB gulls , the rest being mainly BHGs with a few Common. Just 8 Lapwings were on the shore with 32 Canadas and a single Greylag on the water.
