A real grizzly drizzly morning at Fly Flatts with low cloud that looked to be clearing but drifted back in over The Nab leaving a very low cloud base and me wishing Id gone to Leeshaw. A very light wind NNE>2 at 6 degrees with heavy drizzle.
The afternoon was clear but very dark cloudy skies.
With the cloud base just half way up the wind turbines I could only count the birds that came through low which were Woodpigs, Starlings and Mipits, the Woodpigs came through very low over the moor nearly skimming the heather.
The remaining species, Fieldfare, Pinkies, LBB gull and Buzzard were seen late afternoon .
Just Mallard, Greylag and Canadas on the water whilst at least 1 Wheatear is still present.
On the way home I stopped at the Delvers to check the Collared Dove build up with 55 birds on the wires, an amazing sight.
