A sheltered corner, top dam
Ever had the feeling you,re being watched.
2 Greylag amongst 45 Canada, no Pinkie
Distant Redshank, CED
Chiffchaff, Mixenden
1pr Tufted, 1 of 2 Gt Crested Grebe, Mixenden
I thought this mornings weather was bad until I went out late afternoon. A howling W>7 blew with driving heavy to torrential rain but as long as there,s only one Sunday in the week I,ve got to get out there and not waste it.
Standing on the banking at Cold Edge was near impossible and after a circuit of both dams it was obvious that yesterdays 2 RPs had moved on.
The water only held Canadas and Mallard whilst everything else was sheltering in the fields.
Mixenden was less windy but just as much rain with some serious waves going over the banking at the SE corner.
2 Gt Crested Grebes were present along with a pair of Tufted whilst a Willow Warbler sang in the edge of the wood and a Chiffchaff was in trees by the water along with 3 Coal Tits.
A quick check of Soil Hill produced just the usual Mipits and Larks.
