Daniel Branch on Osprey watch.
Pheasant , a regular on the hill
Safe with hubby.
Lots of Peacock Butterflies moving through
As well as Tortoiseshells.
Local Sparrowhawk.
Raggalds Flood must be holding water,
HM Coastguard patrolling it now.
A still and hot late afternoon was ideal for moving Osprey but not to be.
Good to see Daniel up there with the same idea.
Raptors were on the move with firstly a Buzzard high over the wind farm >N followed by a Sparrowhawk in the same area and then a Buzzard out to the east high and >S picked up by Daniel.
The local Sparrowhawk soared over the hill before moving off >E and my first Linnet of the year flew over continuing >N.
Several LBB gulls came down on the water at Oxenhope whilst some continued >NW.
A thorough search of the east side including the trig point fields confirmed that there are no Wheatear as yet on Soil Hill.
Just received an e mail from Ian Hargreaves, B.O.G. who sent a report and pics of an Osprey over Keighley reservoir at 10.45 hrs this morning >N on a flight path from Leeshaw and Fly Flatts.
Thanks for that info Ian.
