Queensbury Today

A real miserable damp day with a strong W>5 and heavy drizzle until 1500 hrs when the sun broke through leaving a pleasant evening but with a heavy gardening schedule at Shelf Moor little time for birding. Two Swallows came over Shelf Moor high and fast >N whilst 8 Canada geese came in to roost in the usual field near the pond.
The trailer park was again void of bird life.
Thanks to DP for checking out yesterdays Common Scoter at Ogden but it was gone by 0700 hrs.
The Scoter, as remarked by Shaun Radcliffe, BOG, was an unseasonable sighting and the first April bird I,ve had. Have,nt had time to check Halifax records as yet.
