Just time for 1 hour on the hill at 1530 hrs before my Shelf Moor gardening project .
No sign of the Ring Ouzels although a dog walker said he was watching them at 0700 hrs this morning at the top of the plantation by Jack Snipe alley.
The cold , strong E>5 seemed to have swept everything from the hill today leaving the usual Pheasants, Grey Partridge, Skylarks , Mipits, Lapwings and Curlew.
Down at Shelf Moor there were several Mistle Thrushes in the fields along with 17 Canadas near the pond and 2 Moorhen on the water.
A steady flow of Swallows were moving >W over the garden.
Target Birds for the morning, Common Sandpiper, Wheatear, Terns !
