A count of 233 Golden Plover, Upper Marsh
1 of 3 Redshank, Leeshaw
Leeshaw Little Owl in the rain
An atrocious deteriorating morning at Fly Flatts starting with an icy W>6 increasing by 0715 hrs to WSW>7 gusting gale force 8 bringing mist and rain across the moor. Despite a drenching got the seed down with reports of Twite now leaving the coast and being seen at inland sites.
Nothing unusual happening so over to Upper Marsh to find a flock of 233 Golden Plovers in the usual field, aa amazing sight.
Leeshaw was slightly calmer but heavy rain showers throughout.
Bright and dry when I got home at 1000hrs of course.
A report from D.P. this morning of 2 Willow Warblers and a female Ring Ouzel at Doe Park.
