Ogden reservoir.

                                        1 of 3 Goosander

                                    Several 1 cy gulls

                                Plenty Blue and Great Tits

                                    Laden with berries
                                Single Lapwing on the shore

                                        Herring gulls
                                    Yesterdays Yellow Legged Herring, RH.
Yesterdays probable 1cy Yellow Legged Herring.

A very light S>1 with30% cloud and sunshine at 8 degrees and mist in the valleys.

After 2 good gulls yesterday at Ogden I had another dabble this morning but no sign of the 2 YL Herrings  though this was expected as this site gets busier in the afternoon with pre roost gulls.
Still plenty gulls to look through with 23 LBBs, 4 Herring an around 150 mixed Common and Black Headed. Three Goosander were on the water along with 2 Canadas and the usual Mallards whilst the nearest I'm probably going to get with a wader this autumn was a single Lapwing on the East shore which was interesting and unusual.
A single Siskin flew from the west bank Alders so its nearly time to get Siskin and Redpoll feeding there but just 2 pair of Bullfinch at the moment. Nothing in passerine alley other than several Wrens, Dunnocks, Blackbirds and Robins whilst the west bank was alive with Great and Blue Tits but no Goldcrest as yet. Nothing over vis mig wise, which seems to have died a dead, over Ogden, Fly Flatts and Leeshaw at least so the next showing will be Woodpigs, Redwings and Fieldfares.
With winter around the corner now I'll be bringing Ogden and Mixenden into play with hopes of  mainly gulls and wildfowl.
A similar weather scene for tomorrow with a light S turning SE and cloudy sunshine.
