More fog, more Ogden.

Dipper down in the sluice gate

                                        1st winter Black Headed gull
                                    Blackbirds on the berries

                                        Very few gulls present.

With the usual fog on the tops I headed towards Leeshaw but with a 2 mile tailback from the Raggalds right through the Keelham lights and on to the temporary 3 way lights at Denholme Gate I did an about turn and ended up at Ogden. Ogden was below the cloud base and clearer than yesterday with a N>3 at 10 degrees with light rain throughout. By 0930 hrs the rain became heavy and the fog rolled in.
A single Nuthatch was on the feeders as well as 3 in the west bank Alders along with 2 Siskin but too dark and too many leaves on the trees to attempt any photos as yet.
Up to 12 Blackbirds were in the berry trees, possibly some being continentals, but no sign of Redwing as yet. Otherwise the waterside trees just held Great and Blue Tits plus the usual common woodland species.
Very few gulls this morning with 3 1cy Herring, 4 ad LBB and around 50 BH and Common.
A chance of being clear in the morning with some cloud on a light NW. I can't imaging birding with a clear sky, I've just got used to not having to look upwards.
