If this is Autumn roll on spring. Fly Flatts,a.m. / Ogden p.m.

                                        Still Common gulls moving through.

Better conditions this morning with good visibility on a NE>3 at 8 degrees and 80% cloud. Light drizzle near knocking off time.
Apart from gulls and Mipits moving over, my air space was unbelievably quiet for these conditions at this time of year.
LBBs and Commons moving >SE as well as a few Mipits and a single Greylag but otherwise, empty skies.  Just 5 Canadas on the water and several Mipits around the shore.

Ogden p.m.
                                Plenty gulls to sift through

                                    1 of 2 distant Goosanders
RH gull looks good for Yellow Legged Herring
Pale mantle, yellow legs, shaded eye. Flew after this photo.
                                    1cy LBB

                                        Commons
                                Several 1cy birds.

With a good influx of Yellow Browed Warblers in the country I combined my afternoon dog walk with a check of 'Passerine Alley' Ogden to see if history had repeated itself with the 2012 bird but the nearest I got was a heart stopping moment with a Chiffchaff.
Just the 2 long staying Goosanders on the water as well as the usual Little Grebe with all 3 birds diving constantly.
The east bank waterside trees were relatively quiet with just the single Chiffchaff, along with a few Great Tits and Blackbirds, whilst a good count of gulls were present witn around 40 LBB, 20 Common, 150 Black Headed and 4 Herring, one of which stood out as Yellow Legged with lighter mantle and a good amount of winter streaking around its eye. Unfortunately I only got chance of the one shot before they all lifted off and landed in the middle of the water.
At least Ogden made up for a, yet again, another disasterous morning at Fly Flatts.
A similar day forecast for tomorrow with some cloud on a light NNE turning E with visibility showing good.
