A frosty Fly Flatts.

                                    1 of 7 Stonechat

                                    1 of 5 Reed Bunting

                                    Canadas displaying.

                                    Pairing up.

Last nights sky from Pye Nest, Sowerby Bridge
Taken by daughter Belinda from her garden.

An icy cold morning at Fly Flatts with a slippery drive up there and a heavy ground frost at 2 degrees on a light W>3. Some hazy sunshine with 50 % cloud and mist in the valleys.
Once again, very quiet skies with no signs of movement above with, as always in October at Fly Flatts, any movement is to the east of me at the other side of the ridge, though busier on the deck with most activity in the compound bushes which act as a migrant trap but having said that they have failed to produce this autumn.
At least 7 Stonechat were present as well as 5 Reed Bunting, 18 Mipits and around 30 Goldfinch plus 4 Wrens.
The water held a single drake Tufted and 12 Canadas, several displaying and pairing up but no gulls on the peninsular this morning.
Only birds in the sky were a single Common gull as well as one LBB plus just the one Raven.
Looking dry for morning before a wet afternoon with a moderate sou'wester.
