Mixenden/ Ogden. Well the dogs enjoyed it !!!

                                    Cloudy sunrise at Queensbury.

                                A desolate Mixenden Reservoir.

                                A lonely Heron at Mixy.

A nice sunrise at Queensbury and clear skies but very short lived with dense fog on the tops and low cloud and drizzle at Mixy and Ogden on a light SW>2 at 9 degrees.
This morning started off looking like a mega moving day for Woodpigeons with scores of birds coming out of the bright skies to the east and heading over Foxhill >S before I left home. Also 32 Common gull were in the park. On arrival back home mid morning Woodpig were still moving, I should have stayed at home.
With Fly Flatts shrouded in the usual morning fog I gave Mixenden reservoir a coat of looking at which produced a single Heron and a few Jackdaws.
On then to Ogden, which was a mistake during school holidays with, even at 0815 hrs, the place was crawling with public and out of control dogs so very little time spent here.
Around 50 BH gull on the water as well as 3 LBBs and the usual Mallards. A few Siskin in the Alders but high up and mobile in the disturbance. Otherwise just a Nuthatch and a few Tits on the feeders.
Had more pleasure shopping at Sainsburys this afternoon!!
Looking brighter for morning but a light SSE could spell trouble in the way of fog.
