Still the Wood Sandpiper remains. Fly Flatts (permit only)

                                    1 of 8 Common Sandpipers

                                Plenty Meadow Pipits feeding young
                                    4 Ringed Plover

                                    Single Grey Wagtail
                                    2 of 4 Oystercatchers.

A  misty start to the morning then clearing to a few banks of fog moving through. A light ESE>3 at 9 degrees and full cloud.
Difficult using the scope at long distance with a mixture of moving fog banks, hazy visibility and heat shimmer but managed to pick out the Wood Sandpiper, on its third day here, feeding on the west bank at the NW corner and then on the north shore by the north end public footpath. Surprising to see such a rare visitor stopping 3 days so far, possibly due to the calm high pressure, though unfortunately the bird has caused very little interest.
Common Sandpipers stole the show this morning with a minimum count of 8 along with 3 Redshank, 4 Ringed Plover, 4 Oystercatcher and a single Dunlin.
The only small passerines present were 2 Reed Bunting, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1pr Pied Wagtail and several Mipits plus 1 male Wheatear.
A few LBB gulls headed >SW as well as a single Black Headed whilst Swallows headed >N.
Same forecast for morning with a light S to SE and chance of fog.
