With the near impossible task of arranging a doctors appointment for Lynda this morning I finally got it organized but by this time the morning had gone. Gone are the days when you just went into a doctors waiting room and waited your turn.
To make me feel a little better it was thick fog and heavy rain throughout the morning and this is looking like continuing until the weekend until the east and north east winds turn on Saturday. Its quite possible that by the weekend the shore at Fly Flatts, especially the peninsular, will be under water.
Luckily the breeding Common Sandpipers and Ringed Plovers have opted for the higher land due to the water already being high so no chance of being washed out like last year.
I suspect one pair of Ringed Plover to already have one or more chicks by the way they are acting but no sighting as yet.
See what happens weather wise, come the morn.
