                                    1 of 5 Ringed Plover
9 Curlew up, spooked from the Flat Moor.
                                    Common Sandpiper

                                    1 of 2 Lapwing chicks
                                    Mum on guard

Dense fog on arrival but quickly cleared by 0815 hrs to leave low cloud base with full cloud on a cool ENE>4 at 5 degrees. Some fog sticking over the western ridge.
Waders were much more active this morning in the cool wind and cloud with a minimum count of  9 Common Sandpiper, 5 Ringed Plover, 3 Redshank, 1 Oystercatcher and 2 Snipe as well as the usual Lapwings and Curlews. At one point 9 Curlew were in the air together over the Flat Moor, obviously spooked by something unseen. No sign of Dunlin today.
A bit better on gulls today with 6 LBB, 2 Herring and a single Black Headed gull on and around the water whilst a few Lapwing chicks are starting to appear.
Fly Flatts showing a bit of a lull at the moment with not enough shore to tempt any waders in but level going down nicely if the rain stays away.
The wind seems stuck in the NE again for tomorrow so anything could happen.
