A misty, drizzly start to the morning but clearing by 0815 hrs to leave full cloud on a light W>2 at 6 degrees,
First bird of the morning was a Short Eared Owl over the moor in and out of the mist. A species that is in decline in this area. Another wave of Wheatear were moving through with 4 female and 2 male but no Greenland as yet, these usually being the last through.
Still a single Dunlin hanging on and keeping to the peninsular, so well out of camera range. Otherwise the same waders as the last few reports with wader species in a bit of a lull at the moment.
A Skylark was up singing and 2 Red Legged Partridge were by the entrance gate, Otherwise the usual species present.
Another dry day tomorrow on a very light SSW with moderate visibility. The water level is dropping well now with this dry spell and more shore is showing daily.
