Ogden in the fog.

                                    As good as it got
                                    Promenade
                                    Looking out to sea.

                                    Gt Spotted Woodpecker
                                        Redpoll

As expected this morning, dense fog, so down to Ogden which was just as bad with visibility down to 20 yards on a light E>2 at 5 degrees. The fog remained in Queensbury throughout the day.
No visibility over the water other than the duck corner with the usual Mallards, 16 Canadas and 3 Greylags. The west bank trees were very active though hard work in the fog and darkness of the trees. Out of around 60 photos of birds none were fit for purpose other than identification.
A small tit flock was present with Blue, Great and Coal Tit along with a few Goldcrest but all very mobile in the uppermost branches of the trees.
The usual Alders held a mixed flock of Goldfinch, Siskin and Redpoll whilst a Treecreeper, Gt Spotted Woodpecker, Redwing and a Nuthatch were nearby.
A few Black Headed gulls were noisy over the water as I left but heard only with still no visibility.
By 0930 hrs cars were rolling in, even on a poor morning like today, so time to make myself scarce. Not the place to be in school holidays.
