Fly Flatts in a cold easterly.

                                    Hardy Stonechats present

                        Unusual move of BH Gull

An icy cold E>5 at Fly Flatts although the temp was reading 6 degrees with a low cloud-base clearing as the watch went on but leaving scud clouds blowing over from the east.
An unusual move of Black Headed gulls this morning with 83 low over the water and off >NE along with 5 LBBs. Several good sized groups of Redwing were heading >SE but well to the east of me beyond the wind turbines whilst a single Fieldfare flew fast and low over the water in the same direction.
The compound held the usual Reed Buntings and Stonechats along with 2 Red Legged Partridge with a Kestrel and Raven overhead. The last few dregs of Mipits were heading >S, with again, nothing on the water and no Whoopers on Mixenden.
Rain showers for tomorrow with a very confused light wind ,SW, S and then SE.
