A beautiful frosty morn, Fly Flatts

Not oft Fly Flatts looks like this.

                                    Reed Buntings
                                    LBBs on the water

Distant skein of Pinks.  134 geese,

Brilliant weather this morning with full sun and a heavy ground frost at 3 degrees on a light SE>2 and excellent visibility.
A good move of Woodpigeons >S from first light over Queensbury but dried up by 0800 hrs. Very little else skyward but a Whooper Swan movement to the south of me over the Manchester area reported by SJ.
A single Cormorant headed high and >NW whilst I picked up DJSs skein of Pinks but far to the south heading away from me westward over Stoodley Pike. One of the largest skeins this autumn with a count through the scope,  and a record shot, of 134.
A few gulls on the water with 6 LBBs, 4 Black Headed and 2 Herring whilst the usual Stonechats and Reed Buntings were present.
Back to the cloud and heavy rain tomorrow. !!!
