A poor start to October, Leeshaw.

                                    1 of 11 LBBs

                                        Being watched.

Yet again, a thick bank of fog along the west hilltops with Leeshaw starting off bright but soon clouded over as the cloud started to come over from the west. Remained clear but dark on a light SW>3 in a warm 14 degree temp. One of those muggy, steam up, mornings where more time was spent wiping the lenses than looking through them.
Its not oft that Leeshaw is so quiet but this morning was very poor even though conditions looked reasonable. Very few gulls today with around 50 BHGs and 11 LBBs and nothing on the water other than a few Mallard.
The large count of Greylag and Canada geese were still present in the goose field but a careful scope through them failed to find any strangers.
The skies were empty apart from a handful of Mipits >S along with several bloggers, whilst a Kestrel was over the moor. Otherwise down to the usual Cormorants, Heron and usual species.
It can only get better.
