3 Greylags very high and >NE

A lively morning at Fly Flatts in good conditions with a cool NE>3 turning E>2 mid watch at 1 degree but feeling warmer in the sun appearing through broken cloud.
Plenty noise up there now with over 200 Canada geese squabbling and picking partners but better that the silence that I get on the tops through winter.
A large flock of Lapwing are now settling on Fill Belly Flat along with Curlews, all adding to the noise, but no Redshank as yet. These usually appear the last week of March although some are now showing in Wharfedale.
A good morning for gulls on the move all >NE with Herrings, LBBs, Commons and Black Headed along with 3 very high Greylags in the same direction.
A Buzzard perched briefly on a post near the Robin Rock and the ,now long staying,Ringed Plover pair are still present.
A different Oystercatcher to the usual 2 flew over showing a white neck collar meaning a 1st winter bird or adult still in winter plumage.
About a dozen Skylark in the Nolstar field along with more Lapwings but a bit too early for Golden Plover at this site, usually appearing in early April.
The usual check for Whoopers on Mixenden Reservoir whilst passing just produced a good count of small gulls and NKs Gt Crested Grebe still present.
