1 of 4 Wheatear present
Male Ringed Plover, legs have now lost the deep orange from the breeding plumage.
1 of 3 breeding Reed Bunting
Low count on Common Sandpipers this year.
A wrong forecast yet again with rain not materializing but at least they got the wind right with a moderate W>5 early morn increasing to near gale W>7 late afternoon.A morning temp of 5 degrees but feeling much colder walking the west back in the full force of the wind in full cloud cover.
A feeding party of around 30 Swifts were over the water and a few big gulls were on the move whilst 2 Buzzard headed high and >N.
Still 4 Wheatear present with the male Greenland plus 3 male Northerns but all at distance in the track side field.
Only new in waders were 3 Oystercatchers on the west bank with otherwise the usual Common Sandpipers and Ringed Plovers with yesterdays Dunlins moved on.
Todays forecast of rain has just arrived which will save me watering in the plants we got at the garden centre today, they,ve certainly banged up the prices this year to get their money back.
