A mild calm morning at Fly Flatts with dead calm conditions this morning at 9 degrees with thick fog patches to kick off with but these soon cleared leaving50% cloud and some sun.
By late afternoon the wind was a very light SW>2 with blue skies and sunshine.
A new arrival today with a single Dunlin on the south shore along with the Common Sandpiper, Ringed Plover, Redshank and Oystercatchers.
A bit of excitement this morning with a mass battle going on low over the distant moor between a Merlin, 2 Buzzard, a Short Eared Owl and a Raven before they all split up and went their different ways.
1 male Greenland Wheatear is still present as well as a single Northern Wheatear but very little else happening in the still conditions.
Most of the geese were out on the still water today with their young so it gave me chance to have a count up.
