The only Ruff at Fly Flatts tonight was the weather

A late visit to Fly Flatts arriving at 1530 hrs just in time to see the bank of fog creeping across the moor heading for the reservoir so it was a race against time to get to a position to scan the east bank for any signs of yesterdays Ruff which was still present and showing well until at least lunch time today.
Within 15 minutes it was lights out with dense fog but not before I,d had chance to scope the east and north bank with no signs of the bird. It could possibly have gone back into one of the ponds where I first got it yesterday but more than likely moved on.
As I got back to the south shore the fog lifted but heavy drizzle piled across the moor with another bank of fog close behind just giving me chance to check the south banking and SE corner.
A good count of 15 Teal were at the north end along with Mallards and the 2 remaining Tufted but only 1 LBB gull present.
Hopefully this squally weather will have dropped something else down ready for tomorrow.
