NOTE !!
No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

Fly Flatts at its worst. Sunday, early morn.

0700 hrs at Fly Flatts with a strong SW>6 and light drizzle which was acceptable but 15 minutes into the watch the wind eased allowing the already low cloud base to drop with fog and heavy drizzle heading across the moor.
Just time to check the south shore and scan the east shoreline from sheltering behind the boat house before the fog came in thick and heavy rain with no signs of a break ing the sky so it was up stumps and head back to get some wallpaper hung.
The south shore Mipits were still grounded in the conditions with their numbers increased to around 100 very active birds along with 3 Wheatear but otherwise nothing else showing. Hopefully the low cloud will disappear before the tea time session.
