Sunday morn at Fly Flatts

                               Greylag family enjoying the beach

                                         This way to the sea.
                                           2 of 3 Kestrels
Gulls starting to use the islands
                                                SE corner

                                           Several islands appearing.

0645 hrs and already the sun blazing down at Fly Flatts but a nice SW >4 making conditions acceptable but not for photos.
Walking along the south shore 2 Teal flushed from under the banking below me and off over the water too quick to get Bertha onto them, not to be relocated.
Three Kestrels were hovering over the west bank whilst a Short Eared Owl quartered a field briefly before disappearing over the north ridge towards Nab Water Lane.
Nothing moving sky wise other than several Swallows and Swifts and the only gulls present were 23 Black Headed. Just the usual 6 Common Sandpipers but no sign of Dunlin for a few days now.
By 0900 hrs the heat was on so a drive on the top road checking for Wheatear which turned up nothing.
